For this challenge, I designed a logo for Flint & Flame, a New American Cuisine restaurant. I aimed to capture the essence of the restaurant’s innovative and refined culinary approach. The logo features the typeface Gin, which offers clean lines, as well as dynamic crossbars that end in a slight angle. The logo also features the typeface Mrs. Eaves Small Caps, which offers a traditional serif that pairs nicely. The ampersand features a stylized flame in place of the counter, and in profile, represents a range that may be found in the kitchen of an upscale restaurant. The color choices for Flint & Flame's logo were carefully selected to reflect the restaurant's unique identity. Low value gray was used to convey elegance, sophistication, and modernity, serving as a neutral backdrop that allows the more vibrant colors to stand out. Bright red was chosen for its association with passion, energy, and excitement, capturing the dynamic nature of the restaurant’s cuisine. Orange, a color often linked to warmth and creativity, was used to evoke a sense of comfort and innovation. Together, these colors create a balanced and striking visual representation of Flint & Flame’s brand, appealing to diners seeking a memorable culinary experience
